Inhibition Effect of Brazilin to Human Bladder Cancer Cell Line T24

چکیده
The inhibition effect of brazilin to human bladder tumor cell line T24 in vitro and in vivo was studied. The results of the in vitro experiments showed that brazilin has strong inhibition activity on the target cells. The inhibition ratio of 100 μg/mL brazilin and 100 μg/mL mitomycin to the target cells was 90.90 % and 63.24 % respectively, which showed that brazilin has higher inhibition activity than mitomycin under the same concentration. Brazilin could induce cell apoptosis in T24 cells. Significant antitumor activity of brazilin was also showed in the animals experiments. The life extention rate of 200 mg/mL, 300 mg/kg, and 400 mg/kg brazilin intraperitoneally injected into Balb/c-nu-nu nude mice that with human bladder cancer were 51.50 %, 56.90 %, and 58.42 %(P<0.05). Our study showed that brazilin has significant inhibitory effect on human bladder tumor cell. Keywords—bladder cancer, brazilin, inhibition, T24 cell line

Effect of sirolimus on urinary bladder cancer T24 cell line
BACKGROUND Sirolimus is recently reported to have antitumour effects on a large variety of cancers. The present study was performed to investigate sirolimus's ability to inhibit growth in T24 bladder cancer cells. METHODS T24 bladder cancer cells were treated with various concentrations of sirolimus. MTT assay was used to evaluate the proliferation inhibitory effect on T24 cell line. The viab...

The role of muscarinic receptors in several diseases including cancer has recently emerged. To evaluate the hypothesis that muscarinic acetylcholine receptors may play a role in bladder cancer as well as in other tumor types, we investigated their expression in bladder tumor specimens. All examined samples expressed the M1, M2 and M3 receptor subtypes. We also found that the level of M2 transcr...

Resistance to conventional anticancer chemotherapeutic agents remains one of the major problems in the treatment of bladder cancer. Hence, new therapeutic modalities are necessary to treat the drug-resistant cancers. Apo-2 ligand (Apo-2L) is member of the tumor necrosis factor ligand family, and it induces apoptosis in cancer cells. Several cytotoxic anticancer drugs, including Adriamycin (ADR)...

Background and aim: Cytokines are a large family of protein messengers. These proteins induce various cellular responses. Janus kinases (JAKs) are mediators of cytokine, activated JAKs phosphorylate signal transducers, and activators of transcription (STAT) proteins that regulate cell differentiation, proliferation, and apoptosis. Aberrant JAK/STAT signaling is involved in the oncogenesis of se...
متن کاملDesethylamiodarone—A metabolite of amiodarone—Induces apoptosis on T24 human bladder cancer cells via multiple pathways
Bladder cancer (BC) is a common malignancy of the urinary tract that has a higher frequency in men than in women. Cytostatic resistance and metastasis formation are significant risk factors in BC therapy; therefore, there is great interest in overcoming drug resistance and in initiating research for novel chemotherapeutic approaches. Here, we suggest that desethylamiodarone (DEA)-a metabolite o...
